Our Rug Cleaning Process

1. Pre-Inspection

Before cleaning your rug, we will complete an inspection to identify the type of rug as well as any stains or damage to the rug that may affect cleaning. This step ensures that your rug is properly handled and that any issues can be identified before washing.

2. Dry Soil Removal

Area rugs hold an incredible amount of soil, and before washing we will use specialized equipment and methods to release this soil from the rug. This is a very important step, as most of the dry soils can be removed before wet methods are employed.

3. Pre-Conditioning

Before washing, the rug may be pre-conditioned and pre-treated to ensure maximum stain and soil removal.

4.Pre-Spot and Fringe Preparation

Any potentially difficult spots will be pre-treated with special solutions to increase chances of removal. The Fringe is also Pre-treated for maximum soil removal.

5. Clean & Wash

The rug will be cleaned with a specially formulated shampoo, and rinsed thoroughly in a wash pit designed for cleaning area rugs.

6. Rinse & Repeat

Depending on the type of rug it will be rinsed with extraction equipment on both sides or washed in a rug pit designed especially for Oriental Rugs. This process may be repeated depending on the amount of soils in the rug.

7. Speed Dry

Once the soil is rinsed away, the rug is dried flat or hung to dry in a controlled environment.

8. Dry & Groom

After the rug has been thoroughly washed and rinsed, it will be properly dried in our facility. Once dry, we will comb and groom the rug and prepare it for delivery.

9. Post Inspection and Delivery

Our cleaning specialist will give the rug a final inspection and release it for pick up delivery. Your rug will be wrapped in brown craft paper to protect it from dust and environmental soils until it is picked up or delivered. Upon delivery we will lay the rug for you.
